About The Role

 

In the Digital Texturing Artist role, you will be responsible for creating digital surface texture maps, precision color matching from multiple reference sources, and applying the mapped textures to a 3D surface. Texture map creations may include upholstery textiles, wood finishes, metals, and hair/fur. Using a variety of softwares and rendering devices to create highly detailed textures for 3D objects, props, and environments for creating scenes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop knowledge in creating texture and material networks in order to achieve a wide range of intricate and highly appealing styles.

 

Responsibilities:

  • 65%-Create photoreal digital content
    • Using 3D applications and photo editing software, to create 2D content and AR/VR content
    • Create and render product specific images
  • 25%-Track supporting data and documentation for further tool/pipeline optimization, and enable next gen visualizations
  • 10%-Hands on handling experience with physical products such as fabrics, and various textiles, up to 25lbs 

 

Experience:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Game Art Design, Visual Effects, Animation or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
  • You are a creative individual with an excellent eye for quality, detail, and color accuracy.  
  • You are well organized, motivated, able to keep projects moving, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Familiar with any workflow of texture map and material creation in 3D software
  • Experience in creating Metallic/Roughness and Specular materials 
  • Experience with materials and textures for AR pipelines, including creating photorealistic materials, file conversions and optimization.
  • Experience in multiple 3D modeling/rendering software (e.g. 3dsMax, Maya, Blender, Unity, Substance, AR/VR)
  • Intermediate experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Familiar with GSuite (Google Sheets)
